Gram and Papas came to life in September 2008 and quickly became an important lunch destination in Downtown Los Angeles. Our philosophy is direct: Use carefully sourced and fresh ingredients to create simple food that tastes and feels good.

Owner Mike Ilic wants you to taste his high-quality food, the majority of which is prepared in the restaurant’s large kitchen — items such as pickled vegetables, house-poached tuna and turkey breast brined nightly.

With a rich and diverse resume of the countries foremost restaurants including: Frontera Grill, Topolobampo and Lettuce Entertain You (Chicago), Union Square Café, Todd English’s Olives and Fiamma (NYC) and Table 8, Dakota and Palihouse (LA), the team at Gram and Papas implements their experience and attention to detail to a high-end fresh quick service concept and outstanding catering operation.
